Les Larmes du Prince - Vitrifications: commissariat : Emmanuelle Chiappone-Piriou

Overview

Robotic work realized in residence by the artist Anne-Valérie Gasc, accompanied by the curator Emmanuelle Chiappone-Piriou.

Vitrifications consists of an attempt to build a robotic, body-scale, digitally-generated trace from the volume of the Grande Halle of the contemporary art center Les Tanneries. Throughout the summer of 2019, the Grande Halle became the laboratory for a project to build a glass ruin. The work is the result of an advanced experimental approach, artistic and technological, conducted in collaboration with Inria (National Research Institute for Digital Sciences).
With the participation of the Dicréam (Device for Multimedia and Digital Artistic Creation), the Cnap (National Center for Plastic Arts), Inria (National Research Institute dedicated to digital sciences).

This exhibition is part of the event "Viva Leonardo - 500 years of the Renaissance(s)" organized by the Centre-Val de Loire region.
