Giaime Meloni

Born in 1984. Lives and works in Montreuil (FRA).

Giaime Meloni photographer of ordinary spaces.

Giaime Meloni is a visual researcher who questions the photographic reproduction of ordinary space. His practice is conceived as a spatialized and spatialising act capable of questioning the complex nature of places. She would like to set herself up as a slow and patient search for ordering space, realized from the construction, mental and concrete, photographs. He lives and works between two islands: Île-de-France, Sardinia.

“The image gives tangible proof of my presence on the territory, in a way it documents it. However, I would like to distance myself from the documentation process – and more specifically from documentary photography – to provide a more universal reflection on our relationship with the world. ”
