Biography

Prosper Legault collects illuminated signs, neon lights and furniture during his urban wanderings. By assembling these scattered objects, he creates sculptural compositions in which lights, signs and words that punctuate contemporary cities clash, often with humour, giving them a new status, a new way of being looked at.
Prosper Legault's art transcribes globalisation and its drifts; the way capitals digest and mix the things and cultures from which they come.

Trained at the Ecole Boulle, after a professional life in crafts and industry, he is now a visual artist. He graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2020.

Prosper Legault was the co-founder of the cultural space "La Volonté 93", and is the author of two collections of songs in collaboration with musicians, published on the RED LEBANESE label.

Winner of the Adiaff emergence grant, he has participated in several collective exhibitions and has had solo exhibitions in France and abroad.
